Ironed out the kinks and back on track.
This week: -1.2
Total: -7.8
I thought it was going to be a meh week. I was prepared to bitch and moan about only losing a quarter and being wahhhhh about it. I was angsty and annoyed. But a loss is a loss, right? It's all in the right direction. Wahhhhhh. But then I woke up the next day feeling skinny. You know what I'm talking about. So I broke my cardinal anti-scale rule and hopped back on and am down quite a bit. And I'll take it.
I have my focus back, which is nice. Now that the wedding is over, I actually have time to focus on adding exercise into my day. I've started an account on Sparkpeople to track my food intake, and I have been reminded this week why this is such a popular and effective plan. It's basic foundation is calorie-counting, but I like it since it also tracks fat, carbs, and protein. There's a great community, an option for meal plans, and suggestions for work out routines ... and the best part? It's FREE.
I feel like I have a routine again. I would eventually like to get back into the mode of not having to track or count anything, but for now a little structure is doing me good. I am still trying to follow my other rules and focus on fruits, veggies, lean protein, and whole grains. Trying to cook more and eat less processed. You know, the usual.
Since Sparkpeople also calculates my daily calorie range based on the assumption I'll actually be burning some calories too, Monday marked the start of a new challenge as well.
So I have a thing for cheesy at-home exercise equipment, but the truth is, The Firm has never let me down. When they put out their new system, The Wave (extra cheese, please), I felt compelled. I'm doing the suggested 30-day starter rotation, and looking forward to adding it to the rest of my collection. So far, so good! I promise to report back at the end of the rotation with results and an official review*.
It's good to be back on track, friends!
How was your week in weightloss?

Meagan, thanks for the info about SparkPeople. I am in such a Weight Watchers rut that I have lost all motivation. I love that I can track everything on SparkPeople for free!
ReplyDeleteHow long have I been asking for this review for? ;) Glad to see it!!
