Gymmies.

In spite of working out twice over the long weekend, I'm anxious to go to turbo kick tonight. It wasn't the worst weekend ever, but it was more lax than normal, and I am eager for an intense cardio workout.  My friend from college teaches this particular class, and I have yet to leave with less than 700 calories burned from the hour-long session. 

The gym is bound to be stifling hot, but I feel like a nice, sweaty hour of kicking and punching is just what I need to balance out the weekend of more indulgent eating than I am used to. Not punishment, balance. (Right BeBe??) Besides, I always feel better after sweating that much, like detoxed or something.  It's like hot yoga, only with kicking and "Baby Got Back" playing in the background (which makes it not at all like yoga, I guess).



Speaking of reigning it in, this is the best pre-workout snack of all time ever: Half a pb sammich and a little-tub-of-awesome Greek yogurt. You're welcome.

I never thought I would be a person who liked to go to the gym and get ridiculously sweaty, but the experience is growing on me.  Weird.

  1. YES! Balance. I will never use the term punishment for my workouts again. I feel too amazing after them. Hope you had an awesome kick butt workout!!
