Big Time.

I've arrived. I got a new office at work before our business trip last week. I was skeptical at first (I had a pretty sweet cube, no lie) but now I am in a whole different building and in an actual big-girl office.



It's really naked. I've never had walls before, much less a need to decorate them. I miss my window, bur I traded up, I think.



Door trumps window. Walls AND a door? Be still my heart.

I moved in a week ago (three days of which I was traveling) so the saddest part is that I already have a pairs of shoes squirreled away under my desk. This is significantly less than the number I had to take home when I packed up my cube.




Tell me I am not the only one who hoards shoes at work. Please.

  3. I don't hoard shoes, but I hoard cardigans--I brought FOUR of them home from my office last Friday. I'm constantly cold, but I don't need to keep my entire winter wardrobe at work..

    I don't hoard shoes at this current job, because our dress code is practically pajamas, but I've been known for it at every other job!

    My office doesn't have a window either, so I hung up a poster of a tropical scene behind my computer, haha. Get lots of photos and things you love!

  5. Haha... When I left the bank I worked at, I think I had 7 pairs of shoes/sandals to take home. You're not alone!

  6. I had some high-heeled sandals that I could not find ANYWHERE, and then on the last day of school I opened a filing cabinet I rarely used and there they were- I'd worn them to the first parent teacher conference night and switched to flip-flops when my feet started to hurt.

  8. Congrats on the new office! And I have old navy slipper-shoes at my desk. They can pass for normal shoes in a pinch if necessary and are great if it's far too cold for whatever shoes I'm wearing.

  9. Hah! I actually ran out & bought another pair of black flats I already own, because I thought I lost them... nope, just at the back of a file drawer. *facepalm*
