Looking forward.

I really hate resolutions, so I am not making any this year.  I know I've said this before, but this time I mean it.  Resolutions, like for so many other people, seem to have the opposite effect on me than what they are intended to do.  So I'm just not.  I like the trajectory I am on in terms of being active, eating well, taking care of the house, and completing projects.  Still, I am really looking forward to 2013 and keeping on, keeping on...
  • Starting a bootcamp next week with a friend from work.
  • Reading, reading, reading ... using the library as much as possible.
  • Finishing the facelift we're doing on our little home gym.
  • Tackling our other house to-do projects like installing new flooring, painting the basement, re-carpeting stairs, painting built-in bookcases, replacing bathroom vanities, and other updates
  • Cutting back on meat consumption and experimenting with more vegetarian/plant-based meals.
  • Being as healthy (physically, financially, environmentally) as possible before we start trying to have a kid.
  • Joining a boxing gym for some variety in workouts.
  • Making time to visit friends & family out of town and staying connected with our people in town too
  • Joining the book club that my sorority alumni association does once a month
  • Getting a clean bill of health at my next appointment with the no-no doctor
  • Working on projects and development at work to build up skills, experience, and expertise
  • Turning the things I put on Pinterest into completed recipes, projects, and outfits
I just have this great feeling that this is going to be a good year.  Like we're on the cusp of something really awesome.  I love that feeling - it's my favorite thing about this time of year.

What are you looking forward to this year?

  1. I love your outlook!!

2013 will be a great year.

I'd really like to lose more weight. I don't need to be at goal but I'd like to weigh less than I do at this moment.
